Ongoing – 2025

MEDIUMS: Drawing, Collage and Sculpture
These works is an ongoing series of works, which began in 2025. In these works I can exploring my lived experiences as an autistic woman, which focus on aspects of my symptoms and daily challenges.
These began in doing workshops in a local mental health community group named ‘Antifragile’ which focuses on making art in a therapeutic way that aids in mental wellbeing. This group helped to creatively explore my lived experiences with mental health issues and navigating my disability.
I am continuing to make works that speak directly to my autism, that explore the highs and lows of my experiences as way to manage my wellbeing and strengthen my sense of self.
Exhibited works – Stimmy Speech, Waiting World, Unmasking and Masking, in ‘Together We Are Antifragile 2025’, Fyansford Paper Mill, Geelong, VIC

Statement about this sculpture:
This discarded wooden piece of furniture was found in an op-shop. I poked holes and lathered it in fake eyelashes. It’s crusty, communicating and is in a state of growth. This hairy silhouette reminds me of my own discomfort that I experience daily as an autistic woman.
Exhibited in ‘Femme Locales’, BSIDE Gallery, Fitzroy, Melbourne, 2025.
